"I think God is unemployed and lonely."

Here are a few more things that I didn't say...
but i read them...
processed them internally ...
and now i put them here.
(for some reason...)

"You can close your eyes to reality but not to memories."

"When i see that the right and the means of absolute command are conferred on a people or upon a king, upon an aristrocracy or a democracy, a monarchy or a republic, I recognise the germ of tyranny."

"There are only two ways of telling the complete truth - anonymously or posthumously."

"In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite."

"I dispise the pleaure of pleasing people that i dispise."

"Ninety per cent of everything is crap."

"The average man, who does not know what to do with his life, wants another which will last forever."

"I can't imagine why people are frightened of new ideas. I'm frightened of the old ones."

"Calamities are of two kinds: misfortunes to ourselves, and good fortune to others."

"I have an existential map. It has 'You are Here' written all over it."

The Good Decay

Loose

Trapped

Nothing Original Under the Sun.

I'm in a derivative mood...
At the risk of turning this so called ‘blog’ into an archive of quotations and crap pictures... Here are some quotes I thought were funny slash thought provoking! Well funny at least… I guess there’s no point in trying to make up zany witticisms when someone else far more well-known and respected already has? This should give you something to think about, while other material matures in my cranium...
I will say this: (its a semi-original thought (though not really))...
The differences between history, politics, geography, religion, philosophy and science are much less than most people are willing to accept.

The trick is I'm not gonna tell you where they are from. Only clue is they are all from the same movie, you have never seen (unless your a WW II buff).

"

Now I want you to remember that no bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making the other poor dumb bastard die for his country

Men, all this stuff you've heard about America not wanting to fight - wanting to stay out of the war, is a lot of horse dung. Americans traditionally love to fight. All real Americans love the sting of battle. When you were kids, you all admired the champion marble shooter, the fastest runner, big league ball players, the toughest boxers. Americans love a winner and will not tolerate a loser. Americans play to win all the time. I wouldn't give a hoot in hell for a man who lost and laughed. That's why Americans have never lost and never will lose a war, because the very thought of losing is hateful to Americans.

Now, an army is a team - it lives, eats, sleeps, fights as a team. This individuality stuff is a bunch of crap

When you put your hand into a bunch of goo that a moment before was your best friend's face, you'll know what to do.

Were not just going to shoot the bastards, were going to cut out their living guts and use them to grease the treads on our tanks.

Slogans I've met

It is the biggest lies that work the most...
be vague and people will assume there is a meaning to what you say...
Does this mean anything?

it just gets better

Potential energy

No translation for the truth (A.K.A: Get me a lawyer, chump!)

Heart beating faster than ever
but I'm not moving at all
just lyin' here
watchin' a buzzy clip
music video
myth creation
Thoughts not attaching or attacking
just floatin', glydin', runnin'
(I've heard that song before)

Plans? values? illusions?
I have all
or do I?
But were they just inherited?
passed down, learned, attached
weened into
product of environment, etc...

blah blah blah... NOBODY KNOWS!
nature/nurture, genes/environment
interpolation, cross contamination
irrelevant issues,
or a key to understanding
the world around us,

surrounding control.

Troubled Times?

RANT BEGINS:

(Self-Justification station)

So what if I just write random shit? Cobble together material culled from other sources, and then just add a sprinkle myself?
At least I’m not trying to make it into a music video/pop song that gets played on prime time, to milk money off people who like shitty music/are dumb.

The times they are a...

(witty headline might have read:) FUTURE WORLD POLICE LOSE HEAD

"Two deaths marked the second year of the century
One was Queen Victoria (who was old and decrepit anyway, probably needed a makeover or two) the other was the US president William McKinley, who was shot at the Pan-American Exhibition in Buffalo on Sept 6 and died 8 days later…

McKinley’s assassination was a “new-age” death. He was shot by an anarchist; he won the Presidency with techniques that revolutionised political campaigns; his success was founded on one of the great issues of the 20th century – trade protection; and his entry into war with Spain ended US isolation – the war gave it an empire and made it an active participant on the world stage."

Anyone thinking what im thinking?
I think some sort of trend started there... with the whole US Imperial war thing!

Open Question

Low expectations

If a person has no love for himself, no respect for himself, no love of his friends, family, work, something -- how can he ask for love in return? I mean, why should he ask for it?

"You turned around and life passed you by!"

Obtain through deceit!

BRAINWASH YOURSELF! (...through positive affirmations)

If we’re all going to delude ourselves (to varying degrees) anyway, then why not use the power of denial/self delusion to our advantage?

Many powerful people in the world do just that… whether they are aware of it or not. It can start small, e.g. telling yourself white-lies that you know will help you achieve something. This works best if it is something you know you will eventually need/want, but aren't motivated to achieve now (of course seeing this is based on individual judgement you’ll have to decide for yourself when to do this).

I’m not really advocating total ‘head in the sand’, ignorance-of-surroundings type actions, but seeing you will to a certain extent have false notions (that you base decisions on), so why not let the ideas that will affect you positively (and hopefully those around you positively) dominate?? Of course that involves a conscious decision to aim toward improvement (which is usually quite subjective). In summary, trick you own mind in a way that benefits, your self and others… how you do that is your own choice. Pain subtraction, pleasure addition.

Food for thought... Fight or Flight??

Break my own rules as much as others...

Do you know? I guess not!

Just to Know that were alive right now!
I wish i could inspire you all
to not only keep living but
but to do so in a better way!

Not that i'm judging i just think we could all make things better for ourselves, without harming others in the process, look i know it hasn't happened so far but i'm optimistic!
I Wish we all were! then i'd be bloody sick of all the optimists i guess.
Lets just do one little random act of kindness each day.
Of course, its subliminally to make ourselves feel better,
but i guess selfishness is its own reward

A guess is better than a neo philosophy.

    The Dichotomy that didn’t exist!

Everyone was always told that the world was divided into two, polar opposites. But then someone thought that maybe it was more complicated than that. Not many knew of it really.

Maybe things weren't black and white, with shades of grey ...that were too stupid to make up their bloody minds, about what colour (or lack of colour) they wanted to be committed to forever! (and so forth). But seeing nothing is truly originally (nor completely derivative) then neither is this, a bit from here a bit from there. It’s all connected somewhat, and like most of my beliefs only true to a certain degree, with various exceptions. I wouldn’t use the word religion, but….

    Where is the bitter irony?

    Ohh… (That’s right), it’s everywhere...

(We’ll probably all hurt someone, when we really wanted to please them, such is stuff…

    The Meaning Of Life...

Why are we here? Where else would we be?
Why do we come up with questions that have no agreed upon explaination? Because we're curious, bored or Trying to avoid thoughts about something worse like, resposibilities we don't want. Our impending deaths or just the general destruction our species is inflicting upon the planet.

(Woh thats a bit heavy ain't it? Better go watch TV so we don't have to think about that!)
Or are we more worried that our questions have no answers or that we will never learn the answer in our lifetime (whats next?).
What is gonna happen to us when our heart no longer pumps, our brain no longer thinks and we generally start to lose our accumulated molecules? Well no one really knows, so all we can do is argue over who has the best theory. Every pursuit of knowledge (or just answers) be it religion, science or any other attempt to explain what we are and why we're doing it. But what most of these approaches forget is that, no one knows! There is no monopoly on the truth. We can't predict the future. We don't even all agree on what has happened in the past. So what we should be doing is listening, thinking and quietly try to figure out whats going on as we wander through this giant maze, searching for the cheese.

So this blog if I keep adding to it will explore aspects of whatever I am currently interested in, while putting it in the context of my thoughts about life, love and the universe.
So its just a big load of bollocks!! Refreshing though isn't it???
